La Corvette is an answer to today’s expectations : it is a research of know-how and products which defend strong regional identity and is assuring a guarantee of quality to the customer. La Corvette offers a wide range of products from this historic tradition, adapted for contemporary needs and suitable for all the family, while respecting both the environment and traditional French expertise. Many of these authentic products – designed either for body care or domestic use – bear the ECOCERT label. Savonnerie du Midi is a member of the COSMEBIO charter since 2007.


La Corvette is claiming strongly its origins from Marseille ! Small three-masted ship used to carry out discovery missions from the Port of Marseille, the boat La Corvette was used in the 19th century to supply Marseille soap factories with raw materials. This sailing ship continues its course... and is in keeping with the times by offering products adapted to modern needs while respecting tradition.


Founded in 1894, the Savonnerie du Midi is one of the last historical soap factories of the region making traditional Marseille soap. The Savonnerie du Midi is pleased to welcome visitors to the hearts of its manufacturing site. Inaugurated in December 2018, the Musée du Savon de Marseille offers a unique guided tour: 285m2 of permanent exhibition and a complete visit of the factory: tun room, cauldron room, drying room and moulding cubes room.


 At the end of 2020, the Savonnerie du Midi was officially awarded the label «Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant» (Living Heritage Company). This mark of recognition of the French State, awarded by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, distinguishes French companies that perpetuate traditional know-how of excellence
